Today I slept in. I had made a goal the night before that I would run. Sometimes in soccer you don't score goals; life is a lot like soccer. I am sad to say that my grand total of miles today is zero. Tomorrow I will try to not be a disappointment. I tried Jamie, I tried.

Carl you are my inspiration. I believe in you

my motivation level was looking extra high today. i was tired of sleeping in and having unproductive days. i was not carried in the womb for 9 months for this kind of lifestyle. i decided i was born to run. i laced up my new shoes and left into the unknown, a life of running. i dragged myself those 2 miles. they say to take it one mile at a time, but i was taking it one step at a time, barely grasping for air. was 2 miles enough? probably not, but then a scripture came to mind, "for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength."-mosiah 4:27. i rewarded myself with a bowl of captain crunch and returned to my slumber. tomorrow will be a recovery day.

Carl where you been?!

To run or not to run; that is the question. I decided that I had had a good enough recovery from the last time I ran. I mentally prepared myself those two months for the upcoming run. The first few steps were great. It all went down hill from there. Half way into my run I started seeing red spots. I think it was my subconsious throwing out stop signs, telling me this run wasn't a good idea. I couldn't give up now, it would just be embarassing to start walking. I was in running clothes, people would know that I failed to complete my run. I also had my bro Tyler the Turtle with me to help continue on. He has been my good running buddy since day one. He tried to get a running blog, but it didn't get approved. He didn't take the blog as seriously as I did.  Anyways I pressed on till the end. Overall, it was a good run.
